The standard Utilihab staircase kits derive from the mezzanine staircases employed in industrial T-slot applications and for which many profile manufacturers offer specially suited parts. In fact, the most basic of the Utilihab staircase forms is exactly this, without any particular adaption. This form is particularly well suited to outdoor and workshop applications. However, the platform also supports several more conventional-looking (from a housing standpoint) forms that allow for use of pre-finished riser panels and wood surfaced treads and stringers and underside or concealed stringers. The platform also supports unusual forms such as cantilevered tread stairs and staircase alternatives such as spiral stairs, nautical style alternating stairs, and ladders in several variations.
